VARANASI – BODHGAYA - VARANASI

Bodh Gaya Considered one of the most important Buddhist pilgrimage sites, it's dominated by the ancient brick Mahabodhi Temple Complex, built to mark the site where the Buddha attained enlightenment beneath a sacred Bodhi Tree. The Mahabodhi Temple is located at the place of Lord Buddha's enlightenment. The temple has a 50m (170 ft) tower. The present temple was restored around 1880. In the inner sanctuary, there is a huge Buddha. In the center of the temple, there is also a Siva-linga that was installed about 860. This temple is also sacred to the Hindus because Lord Buddha is the ninth incarnation of Lord Vishnu

VARANASI – AYODHYA - VARANASI

Ayodhya is one of the seven most sacred cities of the Hindus in India and situated about 135 km from Lucknow, on the banks of the Saryu river. The name Ayodhya means which cannot be subdued by war. It covers an area of 10.24 square km. This holy city holds a place of pride among Hindus as it is the birthplace of Lord Rama, the seventh incarnation of Lord Vishnu. Ayodhya is also believed to be the capital of Kosala, a kingdom ruled by Lord Rama. Ayodhya is an equally important place for Jains and Sikhs. Ayodhya is a city of temples as there are about 300 temples here.

Ganga Arti at Dashaswamedh Ghat

The Varanasi Ganga Aarti takes place every sunset at holy Dasaswamedh Ghat, near Kashi Vishwanath Temple. It differs from the aartis at Haridwar and Rishikesh in that it’s a highly choreographed ceremony..Gange aarti takes place at 6.45 PM in the evening after the sunset for around 45 minutes at the Dashashwamedh ghat in the Varanasi. Devotees have started to come to see the Gange aarti at least one hour before.
